I've got something to do: By Pst. Edwina Peters

Text: Daniel 11:32

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do [exploits”]. (Daniel 11:32 KJV)

You can’t be what you don’t know and it is what you know that you become. If you are a barber you can’t be a cleaner. It is what you know that you will do. You have the right now to know who

God is. When you know it means you believe. The starting point is to know. There are certain people who believe in what they don’t know. You have to know for yourself. People who know their God shall do exploit. I don’t want someone who believes but someone who knows. The bible said that ‘you shall know the truth and it will make you free’ [John 8:32]. It is when you don’t know that you will be deceived. Some of us don’t even know what God has said, we only believe. What I know is the actual, not what others are saying. Know the truth for yourself. This season is the season for those who know. Nobody should know your father more you do…you should know Jesus more than what people say…you should be the one teaching them and not them.

Because you saw a husband and wife always kissing outside and you quickly jumped into marriage. Now you are there and is not finding it funny because you believed that yours will be like the husband and wife you saw kissing. You made the wrong decision because you believed.

...The Knowing.

…The Being.

…The Doing.

“And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by [the name of] God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.” ( Exodus 6:3 KJV)

Abraham knew God for himself. When God asked him to bring his son, he did because he knew God.

“And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son] from me.” (Genesis 22:12KJV)

Who told Abraham to give his only son was it not God…but how come He is telling him here not to lay hand on the lad? If you know God, He will know- “…for now I know that thou fearest God,’’ [Gen 22:12b].

It is important that you know. You want to know God, come to church.

“Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:” ( Luke 22:67KJV). In this context, believing is not important but knowing.

The reason the devil is angry is because you chose to worship God first and not him. Say to yourself, ‘I have got something to do’. They that know their God shall be strong and do exploit. You are the one who made the decision to serve God, how come you are now listening to the devil’s suggestion. You say that ever since you gave you life to Christ things are tough for you…hello, it is part of what you accepted. You need to know who your God is. When the devil came to tempt Jesus, He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.( Matthew 4:4KJV).
